I’ve been sitting for about 2 hours just thinking about the ending. I really didn’t like it.

I hated how they just skirted past all the events after Coin was shot, it was like the author was rushed to finish it. The event that the whole book was built towards was just skipped! It was like katniss woke up and it was all over!

I HATED the situation with Gale. How can one of the most important characters in the book be summed up to just ‘having some job in district two’. Is that all he comes down too, is that all he is worth! i thought he was a much more valuable person than that, and he had no mention in the epilogue, i wanted to know if he was married now. I suppose im bias though, I was totally team gale.

I liked how she said about peeta being the yellow dandelion and her happiness and gale being too firey like her, which is fair enough i can see why they may not work as a couple, but i dont believe they would just ignore each other forever, im sure she would forgive him for the bomb. After all they’ve been through they should still be friends!

The epilogue, I was torn with, the idea of Katniss having kids just never occurred to me, i really never thought she would, and i feel she would only have them to suit Peeta.

I do quite like the epilogue though how not all is rosy and happy and that they are still dealing with it even though they are happy again, that things like that stay with you.

The series is definitely worth readin though, i loved every minute of reading them. I just miss Gale haha
